One of the oldest car companies still in existence, Buick was established in 1899 by David Dunbar Buick. William C. Durant, the person who founded General Motors, was the general manager of Buick before adding the car company to the General Motors family in 1908. Buick has been a division of General Motors ever since and have produced many well-known models like the Le Sabre and Buick Gran National, as well as producing current models like the Encore, Envision, and Enclave.
