Follow-up: The owner did the right thing and I was refunded the second diag charge of $145. I appreciate that. Moving from one star to three given the onwer came through. I appreciate that. Brought my GX460 for diagnostic of the check engine light and "track on" lights. The first diag was done and paid for ($145) and showed the codes that required further testing. Had to do further testing and was charged another $145. After that, there was an $1,100 job recommended and if that was not going to work, further diagnostics would be needed. I asked to stop and not to do anything... Took the car to another shop and they immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it for FREE (10 min labor to replace the $80 OEM part/Purge Valve Connector). I was present at the time of repair. I called Richard to very respectfully ask to refund for the second diag charge given that they did not find the right issue and still charged me for the diag. So, while the first diag was done/charged and paid for, which showed the "codes" - the second one found the "wrong" problem and I was still charged for it. In my opinion, I was to get the second charge refunded, which they declined to do. Very upsetting.
