Mercury was a brand created and founded in 1983 by Edsel Ford. The goal was to create a brand with models that had a medium price tag and fit above the Ford models and below the Lincoln models. The brand produced vehicles for 83 years before being discontinued in 2011. Their last models produced were the Grand Marquis, Milan, Mariner, Mountaineer, Montego, Sable, Marauder, Mystique, Cougar, Villager, and Monterey, respectively.
